A new beta version 1.2.7.0 is released with a major feature added to set priority for the devices and associate a device to a preset.

Change the output device preference order from settings. Also assign the preset preferred for each device from settings.

When a new device is connected, it be added to the end of the preferred output device list. Move it as required.

When a newly connected device has a higher priority than the currently selected device, then the newly connected device will get selected in FxSound.

If the currently selected device is disconnected, then the first preferred device which is connected will get selected.

If the device has a preferred preset, then selecting the device will also automatically select the preset.

Version v1.2.8.0 with bug fixes released,

version 1.2.8.0

  1. Fixed the bug which caused blank text on theme change
  2. Fixes in giving control to system audio when FxSound is off. Now output device can be changed in FxSound and OS when FxSound is off.
  3. Fixed the device preference list persistence issue and repetition of device names.
  4. Slovenian language support added
  5. Changed Save/Cancel to Yes/No in preset save prompt
  6. Changed +0 to 0 in EQ gain

Idk where to start, BUT… com’ere you @bvijay, it’s time for some horrifyingly smooches on your cheeks because the UI if anything it’s looking :fire: and way faster[1]. If you’d like any help at all I’ll sure be happy to keep watch and report back any interesting behaviors I see. But thank you again big brother, must you be Kelvin Hart’s close friend? cuz you ROCK.

I would like to bring a problem that I am facing after installing this version (1.2.8.0). The FxSound app closes when I switch on the bluetooth in my computer (i.e., it gets removed even from the system tray). I have to double click the app shortcut again to bring it back. After that too, if I switch off the bluetooth it closes again and need to double click the app shortcut again to reopen the app. I know this is a beta release, but I would like to bring it to your notice.

Thanks @manu198075 for testing and reporting this crash. Can you please share the crash dump file fxsound.dmp which will be at %APPDATA%\FxSound? The crash dump will help us debug and fix the issue. You can share the file through any cloud drive.

I concur, the same issue is happening to me as well. 100% reproduceable. Fresh install of Windows 11 Pro 25H2.

Could there be an option in the future to select a preset depending on the input app? I love the ambient sound while listening to Spotify but when Im watching a tutorial, it would be nice to have it switch the preset to a default curve if possible? Or even switch it off.

New beta is released with these bug fixes and feature improvements,
