Idk where to start, BUT… com’ere you @bvijay, it’s time for some horrifyingly smooches on your cheeks because the UI if anything it’s looking and way faster[1]. If you’d like any help at all I’ll sure be happy to keep watch and report back any interesting behaviors I see. But thank you again big brother, must you be Kelvin Hart’s close friend? cuz you ROCK.
this could be a placebo take cuz I do get excited with new things lol, but it sure feels 1221% smoother on my screen. ↩︎
@bvijay
I would like to bring a problem that I am facing after installing this version (1.2.8.0). The FxSound app closes when I switch on the bluetooth in my computer (i.e., it gets removed even from the system tray). I have to double click the app shortcut again to bring it back. After that too, if I switch off the bluetooth it closes again and need to double click the app shortcut again to reopen the app. I know this is a beta release, but I would like to bring it to your notice.
Thanks @manu198075 for testing and reporting this crash. Can you please share the crash dump file fxsound.dmp which will be at %APPDATA%\FxSound? The crash dump will help us debug and fix the issue. You can share the file through any cloud drive.
Could there be an option in the future to select a preset depending on the input app? I love the ambient sound while listening to Spotify but when Im watching a tutorial, it would be nice to have it switch the preset to a default curve if possible? Or even switch it off.
Hi I think I got the temp fix, I had similar issue to what you guys described. also disabled realtek if you don’t use audio jack 3.5mm-3.5mm, well if you know and deem it is essential to your setup then don’t hear me out, but anything realtek-related (maybe Wave too?) usually don’t do jack shit to bluetooth audio except more problems.
P.s: I’m messy with my set up cuz I use my baby headphones through bluetooth, usb-c adapter to 3.5mm, usb-c (⌐■_■), and the reconnecting issue seems to happen when:
audio_device=null –> fxsound: “it’s okey we chilling” ヽ( ̄ω ̄( ̄ω ̄〃)ゝ
but homie got “too chill” that it wouldn’t or very slowly realize that the device is disconnected, thus it somewhat explains why it pick up the reconnected device “lazily”, I said in other comment but still idk why the little flyout panel [1] works, got no luck with minimized and maximized panel [2]
however, I like the grace-allow here to prevent crash cuz I had a rough life with MPV until recently, so pls don’t remove the allow null-audio feature mr.VB ↩︎
