I wanna know far FXSound will take the quality too, macbook level? maybe below? Also is it better than the dts ultimate that comes with my laptop?

I would say, it depends on how you define “quality” and “better.”
Anyway, those are questions which I already more-or-less answered in these posts:

First, two general guidelines:
Don’t set any of the Effects or EQ sliders past level 4.
Avoid clipping (the first point will help with that). Whenever you encounter clipping distortion, it means you’ve hit your system’s threshold. Try to find the source, and turn it down.

It certainly can; I’ve added a screenshot below to illustrate and simplify things.
Bass is marked red (20 to 250 Hz),
Mids are marked yellow (250 Hz to 2 kHz),
Treble is marked white (2 to 20 kHz).
