Randomly Lose All Input/Output Devices Windows 11

As the title indicates, when using FX Sound on Windows 11 it either works perfectly, or I lose all my input and output devices on both FX Sound and Windows 11 sound settings.

This is resolved by restarting my computer, there is no other solution. There are no common reproducible causes, it is entirely random. I work from home and use this all day long. There is no rhyme or reason to it.

I love the program, but I cannot continue to use it if this issue is not resolved. After researching the topic it appears that others are also having this issue, but I have not found an actual solution to the problem.

FX Sound is up to date as of 5/18/2025 (version 1.1.31.0)

I also would ask if there is any button for refresh/recheck device changes, as when I connect my bluetooth headphones they’re not detected immediately so I’ve got to wait a minute or just exit and restart FxSound manually. It’s not very handy.

nope I’m all wired, I don’t use any bluetooth wireless devices with my rig.

this doesn’t supply much confidence in using it…I need more juice to my new lenovo laptop audio but too scared to try it
