Hello! I’ve been having a problem with FX Sound (latest update) for a few days on my PC running Windows 11 Pro (updated). Suddenly, it stopped working. I normally use it for YouTube, but now when I start it, there is no sound from the speakers. If I try switching to headphones, it’s the same, I hear sound for 1 second and then nothing. Interestingly, if I open the Windows volume mixer, the “Apps” section goes completely haywire, with the icons of the apps I have open (the browser or other) flashing and moving at full speed, endlessly. I tried uninstalling it with a program to remove all traces, and reinstalling it, but nothing. I repeat, it was working perfectly until a few days ago, and then it started behaving like this (i didn’t change anything on my PC). The output device in the program and The “default” output device in the system are correct. Any ideas?
UPDATE: As I was writing this, I think I found the solution. It’s my Kaspersky antivirus that blocks the application, but sometimes it alerts me with a notification (which allows me to unblock it), other times it doesn’t. I’m sharing my experience here in case it’s useful to anyone. Keep an eye on your antivirus!
