I have an issue with Windows 11and FXSOUND, where at random, FXSOUND will change the output device. It is correct in Windows sound devices, as it says FXSOUND, but I have my main device at the top of FXSOUND device list but it changes to another device and I have to switch it back. Sometimes I will be in the middle of listening to something. How do I stop this?
check the volume mixer [search in the start apps panel], hit reset, also one trick i know to always work is right click fxsound tray icon, choose the device. The panel isn’t reliable for device switch atm idk why but hopefully mr.B will have a look into it later.
I have exactly the same problem. The output device changes randomly in FxSound out of the blue. In the settings menu under Output Device Preference, in the device priority list, my preferred output device, which I have moved to the very top of the list, keeps trickling down the list randomly without me doing any changes to these settings.
