Can't change default Sound Output in Windows Settings

I can’t change default Sound Output in Windows Settings. FXSound forces the windows default audio device to FXSound. I can’’t change the default audio device to other devices. The only possibility is to uninstall FXSound.

Please provide an option to be able to switch the output devices in Windows.

The Same problem…. Cant change the default audio device to other devices… I hear sound for a moment and then FXSound change it back….

FxSound defaults to switching playback device to FxSound Speakers, as FxSound won’t work unless FxSound Speakers is selected as the playback device in Windows. If you’d like to change the playback device in Windows, we recommend doing so through the FxSound app.

We will be making a change around this functionality soon, however, to make it more user friendly.

Thanks for explaining the approach to FxSound reasserting itself as the default playback device. The issue I am having is that I use FxSound for my laptop’s internal speakers but do not need it for my external speakers.

If FxSound has to be the default playback device, is there a way to tell FxSound to automatically apply a flat curve when using my external speakers (I have set them as default in the FxSound option) and my custom settings to internal speakers? Otherwise I need to open FxSound and manually toggle it on/off each time. Thanks.

Unfortunately, the problem was only solved by reinstalling Windows. I think it might have been because after installing FXSound, I installed the Ceative Soundblaster Z SE internal sound card into my computer… and then the problems started. But after reinstalling Windows, they disappeared… FXSound’s strange behavior with the new sound card.
