When i use FXSound it forces default audio output device to “FXSound Speakers”. But i want to take data from FXSound and bind it to my other virtual 7.1 surround app as input speaker option. Can FXSound work without selecting it like default output.
Can you add an option like a “do not force default output device to FXSound Speakers”.

I’m afraid the only honest answer to that question is, no, it cannot, and I doubt very much that this will be changed in the future.
What a terrible answer, and not technically true. I came here for the same option. It should be a configuration option as to whether fxsound forcibly takes your audio device. It should be able to act as an intermediate pipe just like every other audio app out there. It can be a device, my headset can be a device. When I switch to my headset, FxSound should relenquish control and stop enhancing (unless I go to fxsound and switch the device I would like enhanced. Then when I switch back, voila. This is not hard, and if it is, as I suspect, the software is poorly designed. Rather than understanding the underlying streams, it’s forcibly hardcoded to piggyback the default audio ouput. Such a shame, because the filters are so nice.
