Quick question about Bluetooth headset detection lag

Hey everyone,

I have been using FxSound for a while now to help with my laptop speakers, and it usually works great. Lately though, I have noticed a bit of a delay when my Bluetooth headphones reconnect. FxSound doesn’t always pick them up as the active output right away unless I manually toggle the device list. Has anyone else dealt with this after the latest Windows update?

I am trying to keep an eye on it because I use this setup for everything, even quick tasks like checking my bank info. It is actually kind of annoying right now because I have been trying to log into the portal to check my FAB Ratibi card balance here in the UAE and the audio alerts for the site aren’t coming through clearly. I can’t even tell if the page is throwing an error or just loading slowly because the sound is so hit or miss.

If anyone has a specific EQ preset or a workaround for the device switching lag, I would really appreciate the help. I’m mostly just trying to get my settings back to being reliable so I don’t have to keep messing with the UI every time I turn my headset on.

Thanks!

Hey Robel, I’ve noticed the same thing with FxSound after Windows updates. The app sometimes doesn’t pick up my Bluetooth headset immediately. I found it helps to set the headphones as the default playback device before opening FxSound or restart the app after reconnecting.

Since you’re in the UAE and dealing with Ratibi card issues, I usually check guides and tips for managing the card through this site https://fbbalancecheck.ae/
which explains balance checks and other helpful info. It doesn’t replace the app, but it’s a reliable reference when things lag.
