My Avast AV just reported that FxSound is a virus and has malware in it…!! This is highly concerning…please advise why?

Which version of FsSound? Setup or installed version? Share screenshot with avast report.

If you’ve downloaded from the official website fxsound.com , then this is probably a false positive.
Where did you download FxSound from?
Try uploading the installer .exe file to
https://www.virustotal.com/gui/home/upload
And feel free to share the link to your scan results in this thread.
Haven’t faced the issue with bitdefender

Hi, apologies for delay, i ran the update that the program suggested update now and i clicked it… it then downloaded Fx_sound Setup.exe it appeared to be v1.22…
I reported it to Avast for thorough inspection…so yeah, thats what I did so far…
