FxSound after 2 hours ~ 2 hours and 30 minutes of playback loops 1 sec audio on the device

I’ve been using FxSound for a long time, but after the last update, after 2 hours / 2 hours and 30 minutes of playing YouTube ( Firefox ) or a video ( VLC ) or a Game, a sound is played that overlaps the original audio that looks a lot like a continuous 1 second repetition superimposed on the original sound for the duration of the sound.
the repeated sound is triggered after a sound pause.

I have an i7 3930K 6C-12T PC with 32Gb DDR 3, the operating system is Windows 11 24H2, and the playback device is a Logitech G935 headset.

After several tests I found that when this distorted sound is present if I change the playback device to Nvidia HDMI Definition Audio, on this device the problem does not occur. As I go back to the Logitech G935 device, the problem recurs immediately, I did some tests on the headphones but without resolving, then I closed FxSound and the problem disappeared, even restarting Fxsound the problem no longer occurs until the next time I restart the computer.

The problem occurs every day, even multiple times and on multiple programs or video games.

I need help
thx

Sorry about this. Can you try uninstalling and reinstalling? Download FxSound - Boost Your Sound On Windows

I have uninstalled FxSound , uninstalled the Logitech G935 wifi headset drivers, reinstalled the headset and Fxsound but the problem still occurs and it seems to be a problem of a buffer looping.

This problem occurred to me after the update.
Is there a possibility to enable a debug log to understand what happens to Fxsound ?

@bvijay do we have log files that would catch an issue like this?

@james our logs capture errors and exceptions but we don’t capture logs any audio processing logs. We need to find out if this issue is caused by any other processing apps of the device.

Hi @Timeless74 ,

The product description for Logitech G935 in the website says, “DTS Headphone:X 2.0 surround sound and EQ presets are only available for Windows®OS and requires Logitech G HUB gaming software.”

Is the Logitec G HUB gaming software also used for any audio processing or equalization?

What is the audio interface of the headset? If it supports Bluetooth and USB, is the distortion heard in both interfaces?

What does the Logitech G HUB have to do with it ? in the Logitech G HUB software I have equalizer , DTS , reverb and Surround audio turned off. The equalizer function of the Logitech G HUB is inconvenient and I prefer FxSound

I noticed a strange thing , how much the problem occurs

When the sound loops for 5 / 10 sec at the start of video playback the load on the CPU goes to 100% then when the sound comes back the load immediately goes back to 25%, while when the sound loops fixedly the processor load for 30~45 sec stays at 100% then drops to 80% , and when I terminate FxSound with the menu exit function ( so FxSound is not locked ) the load on the processor drops to 12~15%. when I restart FxSound the load on the processor is 16~18%.

I remind you that I have been using fxsound for years and this problem occurred after an update. Ps. I am fitting a new Pc with Ryzen 9950X , 128Gb DDR5 6200 CL32, 5070Ti … as soon as I get all the parts I will check on that pc as well

If other audio processing or equalizer applications are active, then it might conflict with FxSound processing. So, I asked you to confirm if Logitech G HUB running and processing audio.

What was the last version in which was working without this playback loop issue. We can identify the change which can be causing this issue.

I had already thought about it and the Logitech G HUB software has all the audio management functions are turned off and I don’t have any other programs that manage audio besides fxSound.

then the problem showed up after an update of fxSound and it starts to show up after 3.5 hours. it starts to loop for a few seconds and after that it goes back to okay with each audio playback but then after another 30 minutes it goes on a fixed loop until I end FxSound

Which version of FxSound have you installed now? Do you remember the previous version in which you did not hear the audio looping?

Version 1.1.33.0

In v1.1.33.0 we added volume normalization. To eliminate and find the root cause, you can try the previous version v1.1.31.0. You can download it from https://github.com/fxsound2/fxsound-app/releases/download/v1.1.31.0/fxsound_setup.exe

With version 1.1.33.0, the defect has changed; it no longer loops continuously, and the repetition at the beginning of the audio track is clearer and more understandable. However, the problem is still present.

Did you mean that you switched from 1.1.33.0 to 1.1.31.0?

But in 1.1.31.0 there was no change done in audio processing compared to the previous versions.
