On my PC I’m using the Grace m900 DAC/Headphone Amp with beyerdyamic DT 1770 Pro Headphones. This combo with FxSound is amazing for listening to music. A little pricey, but I figured since I’m running an audio company I should probably get a better sense of what expensive audio sounds like

Simple but still effective - old 2.1 Logitech X-230 speakers and Creative Sound Blaster Z.

I am using Sony’s CAS-1, Sound Blaster’s G6, HD660s, WF-1000xm4, Galaxy Buds, and JBL’s sound bars.
I’m thinking about a DAC/headphone amplifier, but I don’t know which one to buy.

2 Headsets
Main
Asus Rog Theta 7.1 True Surround Sound Headset used with Type-C USB.

Secondary/wireless use
Logitech G935

I don’t really use anything else but a basic/generic 3.5mm jack 2.1 stereo PC speaker setup sometimes for music. but the bass is a little strong so i worry about using it cause of the neighbors, but i guess they don’t hear it lol.

Honestly how do you like the Theta? Ppl talk bad about True 7.1 but its always seemed like the next step and current pinnacle of gaming headsets.

I am currently using the Sony WH-1000XM5 BT Headphones.

I sometimes connect via my USB Bluetooth Chip, but usually, I plug it into the headphone jack.

I am also using the Dolby Atmos app from the Microsoft Store.

The latest & greatest! :dizzy:

So in what way does this enhance your audio, apart from the 3D effect?

I use it not to improve the sound, but because of a broken connector on the sound card. I inserted a bad jack 3.5 and the contacts were damaged, it is not entirely acceptable to repair it.

The answer to the question about the sound setting.

Sometimes I “improve” the sound to expand the sound (speaker), for some music I use the surround setting. I use the classic control panel, there is a stylized panel. Unlike fxsound, I can’t use presets, but the number of sliders makes it easy to set up.

I don’t use EAX.

There is an equalizer, but I prefer not to change its settings in the player, in the creative settings and in fxsound (individual band settings).

This is my setup, where I’m sitting right now (and practically all day every day).

Yes, it is a laptop on a box.

I bought an ELAC Debut 5.1 system back in 2017 that I’ve been using ever since. These are the original Debut (1.0) speakers designed by Andrew Jones, released in 2015. They are now off the market in after the Debut 2.0 line hit the shelves in 2018.

It’s two Debut F5 front speakers (with three way drivers), one Debut C5 center speaker, two B5 bookshelf/side speakers, and a S10EQ bluetooth Subwoofer (400W). Also included in the package was a Denon AVR-x2300w receiver.

Including the receiver, the package was $1,510. It was already a two years old at the time and discounted heftitily. Now, the Debut 2.0 5.2 system costs $2,000 (with equivalent F5.1/C5.1/B5.1 speakers, they also have a Debut 2.0 6.2 line with slightly upgraded F6.2/C6.2/B6.2, runs $2,500 ish)

I’m perfectly happy with this system. The receiver can either receive upscaled/surround DTS X-Neural/Dolby Atmos/Surround (PC, etc) or generate from stereo input.

Oh boy this may take many posts . I’ll start with the description then Ill have to either find old pics or get a new camera to get new pics so here we go
So I will start with mixer Behringer 24 channel Mixer, Alesis 2 X32 1/8 octave Manual EQ, Behringer CX3400 2.3.4 channel X-over (Set to 2 channel) @ @ Peavey CS 1000 X Amplifiers (Bridged) each to a Rockville Hi Power 15" subwoofer
A CS 800X powering the cabinets mid and horns
Total is 4200 Watts Of Peavey Commercial Series Amplifiers (available wattage)

I started out in 2005 running the live audio as well as Heavy Metal Karaoke then I just kept adding to my system until like 1 year ago when I replace the subs with e The Rockville ones to actually show that subs in that price range cannot handle 1500 each as the company claimed and I was proven so very wrong these things will literally cause the stuff to fall off the walls the popcorn falls off the ceiling. I have had it so loud the lights dim when heavy kick drum hits. I can make my eyes water so hard I can no longer see (That’s Bass Ill tell ya) I listen to heavy metal so imagine a 250 BPM double kick just on overdrive. Sadly I did not get this hardware until AL my friends and family had moved away so I actually have no one but my cats to share my Absolutely awesome Pro Audio Sound System… Pics will be coming next probably like 20+ of them

Euhh… :exploding_head:

I’m not sure if I should be congratulating you on your system,
or warning you about the risk of serious and permanent damage to your hearing

…Can I maybe just do both? :innocent:
