I have a DAB radio permanently connected to my soundcard’s line in.
I use a quicklaunch shortcut to SndVol.exe (Windows mixer) to mute the line-in when i don’t want to listen to the radio, but it’s usually on; if i’m at my desktop i’m usually tuned in to LBC, whatever else i’m doing…
So, the problem is that the instant FXsound starts up, it mutes the line-in… but then exposes no controls to un-mute it again!
Going into the Windows device properties and repeatedly checking / unchecking “listen now” has no effect - indeed, Windows no longer appears able to detect the input signal.
Love the software otherwise (and DFX before it) - still indispensable for getting the most out of your PC audio… but as i usually want to listen to the radio while i’m at my PC, i’m uninstalling it for now… (not a major hassle to temporarily re-install it if i wanna listen to music or watch a movie)…
