I have been using FxSound for quite a few months now, really loving it.
one issue is that on my sons’ local user’s accounts, when they switch between output devices e.g. speaker, headset, every time the volume goes back to 100% when switched from headset to speaker, (same the other way arround, but headset volume is controlled by my Steelseries Nova Headset wireless base station, so not an issue), and they have to immediately turn the volume down so not to scare ppl in the house, it works fine under my administrator account, the volume goes back to where I previously set it, but not on their accounts, any fix for that? I have tried everything in OS settings and FxSound settings, nothing works, it’s just a bit annoying that you have to adjust the volume everytime you switch back to speaker from headset, please help…
all sound drivers are updated to date, lastest version FxSound, I even re installed Windows 11 (not for this particular reason tho), it just doesn’t work on their accounts
just updated to the newest version 1.2.1.0, now volume adjust in windows in my administrator doesnot work anymore, I can only adjust the volume manually on the speaker now, which is far away from set up, please help….
I need it to able to adjust in the system volume control, coz I have volume knob on my keyboard so I can adjust the volume whenever I need to, now I have to adjust it on the speaker which is placed outside the PC setup, that I need to phisically reach over to do it, it’s a pain
Problem found and solved!, just FYI, it’s actually the windows logon machanism that creating the volume adjust issue with FxSound, that you need to log out one account before logging into another one, otherwise the app is running in the background on that account which will stop current user to adjust the volume, once I logged out from mine, and switch to my son’s, it works perfectly fine, and vice versa,
the problem with mine is that I need to keep my account logged on all the time so some system apps such as RGB controls, MSI afterburner overclocking feature work on other local users accounts, or they wont have these features, but with doing so, it messes with FxSound volume control, a bit pain, but at least now I know this isn’t something about the software, ideally if developer could make this work that it will not interfere with other users logins, and supporting mutiple user logins, that will be helpful and appreciated!
