fxsound sound becomes smaller

When I use fxsound, my YouTube and Spotify will become quieter than normal.

What happens when you bring up the Dynamic Boost setting on FxSound?

Even when turned to the strongest level, the volume is lower than usual.

Odd! Has this always been the case? Could you try uninstalling and reinstalling? Download FxSound - Boost Your Sound On Windows

I downloaded it again and it’s still the same thing.

What about when FxSound is running but it’s off?

As long as I run fxsound, the sound will become quieter, and the switch will be the same. I guess it will return to normal only when I close the application.

Sorry about this. I’m not quite sure what’s going on. FxSound when on should make your audio louder. And when FxSound is off your audio should be at the normal volume levels. Do you notice any difference in the sound when FxSound is running? You might test this by turning up the EQ or Effects settings to their max.

I would like to add onto this issue. Its happening only with FXSound. When I close it my audio volume returns to normal. I tried multiple presets, reinstallting, running as admin, deleting driver and many more. There is no method left. Please update your software with the fixes

Hi @RKay, Did you check the volume set for system, applications and devices in System > Sound > Volume mixer?

Sorry for the late reply.
Again I have seen this issue with alot of other users on this platform.
All my settings are correct.
Mixers are normal, Drivers are up to date, FXsound app up to date, different presets and no preset.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with the hardware.

Moreover, the instant I turn on FXSound, the volume boosts up for an instant (because of my preset as expected) and then immediately becomes very low. And unless I exit FXSound completely, it does not return to normal.

Moreover, this is only affecting headsets.
Mine is a CosmicByte G1500 headset.
Speakers are working fine with Equializer.

YouTube and Spotify have their own audio normalization feature - try and turn off “Stable volume” in YouTube videos settings then “Auto adjust audio quality” and “Normalize volume” in Spotify settings.
