My audio randomly disappears when i connect my headset and link it to fxsound, i have to switch outpit to speaker then headphones to get audio back, but its a temporary fix
Sorry about this… could you try uninstalling and reinstalling? Download FxSound - Boost Your Sound On Windows
HI. darth_sin @james
I’ve run into the same or similar issue.
First - this is i can reconstruct almost every time.
If my screens go off (not computer sleep) FX will stop playing because it returns to the default output. Other times it just returns to default output – Maybe same is happening with darth_sin ???
Second - out of no where - every preset turns to mono and the freq selectors do Nada. Random (maybe it doesn’t like 80’s techno)
Third – the slight but noticeable up-n-down on volume. Its slow and every track, stream, audio file does it. Almost as if a volume-limiter is enabled, all 3 HP does it.
Sorry if i hijacked darth_sin message -but since our issue was alike I thought a mention might help all of us.
been trying FX on 3 headphones - BT, USB and audio jack. and a typical speaker setup.
Kind Regards
JND
- When you say it returns to the default output do you mean FxSound or your PC?
- Is there anything you can do to reset this?
- There will be some limiting of frequencies to prevent distortion if the volume is high enough.
Hi James, @darth_sin
returns to default in FXSound. For the past 48 hours I’ve had FX ‘off’ and audio has had no issues. – Lemme rephrase that – Audio is GREAT, just few quirks and interruptions.
In my situation (maybe darth is seeing this too) …
in settings i have my regular speaker setup as default. I use headphones a lot. USB & Bluetooth. So, as a workaround i just plug in some wired HP. Then the volume thing gets noticeable.
So in this image you’ll see the red is my system speakers and thats my preferred.
in the past it was set to None - hence it appeared as a disconnect.
@darth_sin (Maybe this is whats happening to you??)
I can’t explain why monitors going to sleep would make an issue unless FX is responding to an event that available sound outputs have changed. – TOTALLY a guess. The randomness could be just my setup - still trying to find a correlation .
As always
Thanks James and darth_sin
Cheers
JND
Hi james, i’ve reinstalled fxsound but the issue still persists unfortunately
