There is an article in Microsoft forums on RDP audio, and the solution given is to enable “Allow audio and video playback redirection” in the group policy, Local Computer Policy->Computer Configuration->Administrative Templates->Windows Components->Remote Desktop Session Host->Device and Resource Redirection Remote Desktop Connection not pulling in audio from local machine to remote physical machine - Microsoft Q&A Please see if this helps.

FX Sound quits over RDP every few minutes

Hi @Sozo, There are some limitations in using FxSound over RDP if audio is configured to play on the local PC, because FxSound Audio Enhancer device will not be available. If in Remote Desktop connection, audio is configured to play on the remote PC, then FxSound can process the output. I had explained this in an earlier thread. Hi @bvijay, I just donated again. My workaround is to set RDP audio to “Play on Remote computer” where FxSound is running. I would still like to hear the audio on the client during the RDP session, but “Play on this computer” is still not working with the latest release.

I wonder if you could program FxSound to exit/disable itself by detecting the RDP session and then restarting/enabling when the RDP session ends?

I appreciate your suggestion on handling RDP scenario. I will analyze the feasibility on detecting RDP session from the application and keep you posted on this feature implementation.
