I have just updated the fxsound version, but there is an error. When I click on the “X” to close the window, instead of going to the systemtray, it “closes itself”. How do I fix this?

I assume you mean, that you click the X at the top right of the UI, and it exits FxSound similarly to exiting via the tray icon.

Have you tried simply rebooting first and restarting FxSound to see if this persists?

Running the FxSound.exe found in
C: \ Program Files \ FxSound LLC \ FxSound
is the surest way to restart FxSound.
