I use headphones to do my work every day. They are bluetooth. I also have a set of speakers on my desk that I rarely, if ever, use.
I have to mess with my sound every single day to get it to work properly (no idea why, stupid Windows 10) and it INSISTS the speakers be enabled to work YET I am not using them AND I have to disable them to get my headset to work properly.
I can reenable it afterward and it’s fine but why does it INSIST the speakers be enabled to work? If I have it on headset in FX Sound, why does it care if the speakers are enabled or not? Just an annoying pain, that’s all.
Sorry I’m not sure I’m understanding. Could you show me which output device you’re attempting to disable in Windows and which you’re trying to use in FxSound?
I told you. I’m trying to enable my bluetooth headset and, to do that, I have to disable my speakers every morning. Then it turns off FX Sound because it determines that I MUST have my speakers enabled for it to work. So, after I’ve disabled my speakers and enabled my headset and it’s working fine, I then reenable the speakers and my headset keeps working fine etc etc. But I have to disable the speakers every day to get my headset to work. No idea why. Spent hundreds of hours trying to make it not be like that but it is. And it turns off FX Sound as soon as I disable my speakers, even though I’m using FX Sound on my headset and it is enabled as the default device in FX Sound. Just annoying.
Hi James. I had other issues with my sound and I ended up undoing a bunch of recent updates to my Windows 10 computer. Once they were removed, everything worked perfectly fine again. Obviously, some updates mess with the sound settings. I’ve now set my computer to never update. If that’s what it takes so every time my sound is perfect, I’m okay with it. Just an FYI
