FX Audio "goes to sleep", no sound for a few seconds after inactivity

After the latest update, FxSound is doing this really annoying thing where after a period of no audio/sound activity, audio will not play immediately and takes a couple seconds to to finally hear the audio playing. It happens SO frequently that it has truly become annoying to where I am considering uninstalling. If i take a couple seconds to respond to a text or go to the bathroom and return and resume whatever video or song I was playing, it will not play audio for at least 2-5 seconds. Not sure if this is some sort of “power saving” feature, but it is really really really really annoying.

This is on Win 10 PC, x64.

I had the sme problem years ago before FxSound. The connection to my Bluetooth hearing aids would time out if I paused audio/video. The “fix” I used was to play a quiet audio at almost zero volume in the background. It wasn’t loud enough to hear but it kept the channel open. I used an audio clip of rain (white noise).
