I’ve been using FxSound for a while and had a few feature ideas that could make the app even better:
Resizable window – It would be nice to freely resize the window.
Delete standard presets – It would be useful to delete default presets you don’t use. There could be a “Restore old presets” button in settings to choose presets to restore, with a “Select all” option.
Sound wave sensitivity – It would be nice to change how sensitive the sound wave visualization is so people can see it clearly even when the volume is low.
Customization – More options for customizing the look would be great, like choosing background/accent colors with an “Appearance” option in settings to download and select background pictures or skins online, including user-made animated or non-animated ones to match the user’s aesthetic.
Output device management – It would be useful to remove output devices from the app and sync them back if needed.
Preset folders – It would be nice to organize presets into folders. A “Music” folder could contain “Jazz” and “Rock”. A “Games” folder could contain “Shooters” and “RPGs”. This would make keeping a large number of presets organized much easier.
Browser and desktop syncing – It would be cool if FxSound could detect what you’re using in desktop apps and your browser (like YouTube or a game) and use the right preset, or let users manually assign presets to specific programs.
It could also detect when you’re listening to music while gaming and ask if you want to combine the “Music” and “Gaming” presets into a mixed profile. Users could use it, keep their current one, or save it for later.
I think these features would give users more control and make FxSound more flexible.
