I play the game and everything works great. As soon as I join a call on discord my game audio cuts. If I leave the call, game audio comes back instantly. This is a problem because I talk to my teammates on discord instead of the game chat. Any ideas on how to fix this?
Quick correction:
ALL audio cuts when I start the discord call.
I can see the visualizer in FxSound app working, I just can’t hear anything at all.
Do you have your output device in discord set to FxSound?
Yes I do, all device input and output settings I could find are correct.
Ok and your playback device on your computer is set to FxSound when you start a discord call? Could you also check to see if the playback device in FxSound remains set to the one you’re expecting? You might also try to change the playback device in FxSound and then change it back to the desired one to see if that makes a difference.
I’ve done all of that, nothing works. I have figured out that when anything is listening to the mic on my headphones (which is the input/output I have) all audio cuts. My mic works, I had my buddy confirm. I just can’t hear anything from FxSound while anything is listening to my mic.
@bvijay got any other troubleshooting ideas?
Here is a solution found in the forum for a similar problem.

Also, please check the volume set for Discord app in System > Sound > Voume mixer.
I figured it out. Unfortunately the problem is with the headphones I’m using. I’m using the Razer Opus head phones and they do the thing I described whether they are wired or wireless.
