DFX cannot connect bluetooth earphones

Hi there,

I found DFX cannot connect bluetooth earphones, there is no the device in playback device.

In the attachments, there are the log file and screenshots for the problem.

I can tell you one thing though, @laland: if you have a working version of DFX, and you wish to keep it instead of upgrading to the new version, then whatever you do, do not uninstall DFX, since all licence keys for the legacy versions have become invalid.

Another option though, would simply be to uninstall DFX and to install the new free version available at fxsound.com, which will probably allow you to connect through Bluetooth without issues.

The choice is yours, of course.

There are some compatibility issues with this way of connecting devices. Here are a couple of the search results:

FXsound doesn't work with BT headsets

That might be because the Bluetooth devices are not connected or active at start to preserve power, which is a normal behaviour for such devices an a modern Bluetooth standard. To make a device selectable, it needs to be connected and powered on and be seen as active device in the Device Manager of Windows which normally is not the case when using wireless devices for the reason mentioned above.

How do I connect to Bluetooth on my PC

When I used DFX Sound I was able to connect to Bluetooth on my PC. I am unable to do that with the new FXsound. Any help would be appreciated.

Perhaps the developer will be able to report something else. Alas, due to the stoppage of the development of the program, a compatibility update cannot be expected.

I’ve been using the new version with Bluetooth headphones for years or however long it’s been out. Are you guys changing the settings in the sound panel? It also needs to be on when you turn your computer on. Mine connect automatically every single time.
