(bug) Audio devices don't switch automatically

  • turn on FxSound
  • change the equalizer
  • click the context menu on the icon in the Windows taskbar and close FxSound
  • it will ask if you want to save the template, click cancel.

the sound disappears and the speakers go silent. Because Fxsound will still be selected in the taskbar icon, even though it is closed.

I don’t want to read the question about saving the template every time. Where can I turn it off?

Thanks for reporting this bug. We will get it fixed to switch to the default speaker when preset save is cancelled.

At preset there is no option to disable the prompt to save the preset if the equalizer settings are changed. We can consider adding it based on demand.

it really needs to be disabled. Because if you change the patterns, he will also ask every time and gets in the way, creating unnecessary movements. add this to the settings and let the user choose what is more convenient for them.

Right now FxSound always prompts to save a preset when changes are made, and there’s no setting to disable it. The workaround is to click cancel, but the app will stay selected in the taskbar, muting sound.

The best fix is to add an option in settings to disable the save prompt, letting users keep FxSound active or revert to the default speaker automatically. For now, closing FxSound directly after saving your preferred preset avoids repeated prompts.

Currently, FxSound always prompts to save changes when presets are modified, and there’s no option to disable it yet. Your feedback makes sense, and the team may add a toggle in future updates to let users choose whether to be prompted. For now, canceling the prompt is the only way to avoid saving changes.
