Problems after last update

Which version did you get?

UPDATE - FINAL POST!

So, after I installed an old version and it seemed to work without the sound dropping out, suddenly after 2 days of flawless operation, the old version dropped the sound.

I then uninstalled the old version and went back to the default Windows 10 Pro audio on my motherboard.

12 hours later, the sound dropped out!

So, the fault is NOT with Fx Sound, it’s a hardware/software issue with my PC and has NOTHING to do with Fx Sound!

My apologies to all for the trip down this rabbit hole! I will install a PCIe sound card and see what happens.

It has a slight glitch where it occasionally stops for about 3 seconds before correcting itself. But, that isn’t quite as annoying as the other glitch where it doesn’t correct itself and I have to manually click the Play arrow when in iTunes. I might try a different version at some point this weekend. But, aside from the aforementioned annoyances, I’m over the moon to have it re-installed on my laptop as my default output audio.

Just now seeing this after responding to your latest message. I’ll have another chance to test it again at a proper and preferred volume tomorrow. But, it seems you had/have the exact same issue as me. Maybe it really is a PC problem, but caused by Fx Sound. If I end up uninstalling it again and my default Windows audio drops out as yours did, then, we’ll know for sure. But, it never has before.

I found my problem to be with the on board sound on my MSI motherboard. I decided that I should install a sound card. I ran this by my son, a network engineer, and he gave me a suggestion to go with an external USB sound adapter. I got a Sabrent adapter on Amazon for $8.99, plugged it into a USB port, plugged my speakers into it, re-installed FXSound and now I have my amazing sound back 100%! Anyone contemplating a sound card should investigate this option. $8.99 USB adapter vs $89.95 sound card seemed like a no brainer to me.
