For some reason, FxSound keeps crashing. It was working perfectly fine last night, but this morning it’s acting up. Whenever I hover over FxSound, the cursor shows the loading symbol. When I double-click on it, I get this error message:
Additionally, when I try running Spotify, I get this error:
“Spotify can’t play this right now. If you have the file on your computer you can import it.”
Strangely, audio plays perfectly fine in Chrome, so the issue seems specific to FxSound and Spotify.
My FxSound info:
– I got it off the microsoft store
– Version: Version 1.1.27.0
– Yes my system meets all the requirement to run the product
Hi @rrealash
With the latest FxSound version 1.1.27.0 and Spotify installed from Microsoft Store, I am able to play audio from Spotify through FxSound. I tried speakers and bluetooth headphones as output devices and I couldn’t replicate the crash you have reported.
Can you please confirm,
If you are using Spotify app on Windows or using Spotify website
FxSound on Microsoft Store is an older version (1.1.16.0), the latest version 1.1.27.0 can be downloaded from fxsound.com. So, if you have installed FxSound from Microsoft Store, please update it with the latest version.
Is FxSound becoming unresponsive when you playback any specific audio clip on Spotify?
