Automatic output switching not working for headphones

When I plug in my headphones, FxSound doesn’t automatically switch to them and continues to use the speakers as output, and I have to manually select the headphones as the output device. But when I unplug the headphones, the system correctly switches the output back to the speakers automatically.

Is there a setting or way that would allow it to automatically switch to the headphones when they are connected?

Which version of FxSound are you using.
In the latest version you can set the priority order of selecting the output device when an output device disconnects. This feature is available in settings. Can you try this?
