Audio reproduction error

I encountered something called an “Audio reproduction error.” The FxSound app reports that it doesn’t receive any audio source when I try to play music on YouTube. Sometimes, YouTube itself shows the message “Audio reproduction error.”
I’ve tried all of your suggested fixes, but none of them worked.

When I use the troubleshooting tool, it reports that the Chrome sound source is inactive. However, if I turn off FxSound and play audio through my computer’s default sound, it reports that the Chrome audio source is active again.

I also noticed that when I open the volume mixer, the graph keeps jumping around like crazy when i turn on Fxsound and play music

Has anyone else encountered this error? And how can I fix it?

Sorry about this. Can you try uninstalling and reinstalling? Download FxSound - Boost Your Sound On Windows

Thanks for your help, but I already tried that method. The app works fine on my other devices, just not on this one — a Dell Latitude 7210.

Any ideas @bvijay ?

The Volume Mixer shows “Audio reproduction error” if the audio output for the application is disconnected.

Please try selecting FxSound Speakers as the Output device for Chrome if it shows the error for Default device.

Also try restarting FxSound and Chrome.

Is FxSound working for other browsers and applications?

Sorry for replying just now, it doesn’t work on any other browser or app either.

I hope this video will give you a better overview of this error.

FxSound can’t detect Chrome audio on your Dell. Run FxSound as admin, disable exclusive mode in Windows sound settings, update audio drivers, or do a clean reinstall to fix the issue.
