Audio profile auto-changing

Howdy everyone!

I’ve been using this software for almost a year now and have recommended it to several friends because it makes my music so much better!

I have only had 1 issue. Sometimes, my audio profile will automatically change without me triggering it. For example, while gaming, it switches to “transcription” or occasionally “voice.” This messes with my audio and happens once about every time I play (not normally twice in the same session). I am usually listening to either music or a YouTube video in the background.

I believe it happens because the software detects some sound and wants to switch profiles to what it believes would be best. It would normally happen after my first shotgun kill in a Fortnite session, which creates a lot of noise that would conflict with what I am listening to, but it also happened once while on an empty Discord call while listening to music for no discernable reason.

I am not sure if this is a bug or a feature, but has anyone else had this problem and know how to fix it? I would like it to stay on whatever setting I set it to manually.

I am running the latest version of both the software and Windows.

Thank you!

Hi, welcome to the forum.
Auto-switching Presets is definitely not a feature at the current time.
The first thing to try and the most likely remedy for your problem, would be to update to the latest version, v1.1.27.0, if you’re not running it yet.
You can check your version number in the Help tab of the Settings.
Visit fxsound.com, download the installer .exe, and run it, to update.
You can also find a standard troubleshooting list bannered and pinned to the top of the forum.

I would also try disabling keyboard shortcuts. It could be that you’re changing the presets by accidentally hitting a keyboard shortcut.
