There was one function I installed this for and that would be volume normalization/loudness equalization.
Very sad that to see that this is missing, as it would be a great feature especially because there are many Win 11 users missing the option due to bad Realtek drivers.
Thanks for the suggestion!
yeah it’s why I also installed, but the option is missing sadly
New user. Love the program, just watched a movie. Having some volume normalization/audio levelling would be great to balance out the loud/quiet parts. Really the only thing that’s missing imo.
Also see this has been requested here: Audio Leveling?! - #5 by FrankNic
It also has a slider Dynamic Boost
This appears to be different from a normalizer/leveller, as i still experienced significant volume differences when watching a movie using the movie preset.
just maximize the value slider Dynamic Boost
Just tried this with a movie. Doesn’t sound right, actually sounded quite bad. Plus was still getting very loud and quiet parts.
This software really needs a volume stabilizer!
Have you disabled the other sliders?
no, i just maxed the dynamic boost slider as you suggested and left the rest at default.
I’ve gone back to nahimic now as it does volume normalization plus dialogue boost with surround sound.
Will revisit fxsound if normalization is ever introduced. Hopefully it will as it seems to be a commonly requested feature for some time now on the forums!
you could enable normalization in your sound card drivers.
Yeah I’ll talk to @bvijay to better understand what would be required to pull this off.
Some drivers require external software for enhancements. For example, my driver requires nahimic for enhancements. So i don’t have the option to enable normalization without it.
Also, in the troubleshooting on this forum, it recommends you disable enhancements and exclusive mode when using FX Sound.
Please add this quick. Please do it like they do in YouTube video settings.
