Unhandled exception error message

can someone help me with this? I’ve never gotten this error before and i dont know what it means either.

i have gotten a message from fx sound to update as they regularly do, like a pop up, and i pressed install and then when it was done, boom! this pops up (image attached to this post). now the program itself isnt working, because the quality in the songs i was listening to has dropped :))))))))

Sorry about this! Are you still having this issue? At the moment it doesn’t appear that we know exactly what is causing this issue.

Hi @Ananda96
Can you these steps if possible,
Delete the registry key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\DFX and reboot.
If you do not want to delete the registry key, just try rebooting alone.

I deleted it, first reinstall , then reboot, or install after reboot?

You don’t have to reinstall now. Just try rebooting.

Hello! No worries, I just had to reboot the app, it happened after i left the laptop in off-use mode without actually closing it (shut down or sleep mode)

I did not have the problem upgrading to v1.1.28 or upgrading to versions prior to v1.1.28 but when I upgraded to v1.1.30, I got the same error but rebooting worked fine so something is preventing fxsound from working without rebooting like it did in the past.

Same issue here. FXSound updated recently and everything was fine, then it just updated again now and I’m getting this error message. Opened OK after a PC restart though

Maybe it’s important :

I used driverstore explorer looking for some dead drivers and found fxsound driver.
Means the uninstall routine - i use Ashampoo Uninstaller - did not removed neither the registry entry nor the driver.
Normally this tool does deep seek.
After reboot this morning i installed version 1.30 and it works again perfectly.
Maybe you consider that uninstall does not remove everything.

Same issue. 0xC000005 error code is Access Denied.

Scoured registry, reboot, reinstall and everything is fine.

o mesmo erro está ocorrendo comigo

@R3PL4Y

Maybe you need to do a clean installation of FxSound.

  1. Try uninstalling FxSound completely:
Use something like “Geek Uninstaller” https://geekuninstaller.com/
    Or “HiBit Uninstaller” HiBit Uninstaller
    and reset your PC.

  2. Now proceed to make a clean installation of the Latest version of FxSound:
    Download the following app:
“Sordum Power Run” PowerRun v1.7 (Run with highest privileges)
    and install FxSound from there.
    (¡¡¡use this app with caution!!!)

This will install the application and driver with maximum system privileges.

Let us know if this solved your problem.

Howdy folks. I was having this same issue. However in my case it started when i plugged in my PS5 controller for FF7 Rebirth (PC version of course). I beleive the speakers on the controller were interfering somehow. So having a controller with speakers maybe the issue for some people. Hope i was able to help some of you.

I have identified the root cause of the exception that is caused after installation.
I am working on the fix. Hope to release an update soon.

I deleted stuff and restarted my computer, but the error’s still there.

Delete register and reboot, all fine work,
