Starting FXsound

I recently reinstalled FX sound (v1.1.31.0) under Windows 11 and for the life of me I can’t get it to start with Windows. I have a shortcut in ..\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup - the other two programs there start every time. If I click on that shortcut it starts - in a window.

If I DO start the app even with a shortcut that has Run set to minimised it opens in a window. If I click on the X at this point it closes the App. If I click on the minimise bar it minimises to the taskbar, not the system tray.

Old behaviour: FXsound starts with Windows and is minimised to the system tray.

Problem 1: FXsound does not start with Windows
Problem 2: FXsound will not start minimised
Problem 3: FXsound does not minimise to the system tray

  1. Startup shortcut is created during installation at %PROGRAMDATA%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup. Please check if the shortcut is present here and application launches from this shortcut.
  2. If FxSound was minimised before user log out or system reboot, then on next launch after login or reboot, it will use the same setting and launch minimised.
  3. X button on FxSound window is to minimise to system tray. - button is to minimise the window to task bar. Can you please confirm if you observe this minimise behaviour in FxSound?

  1. Startup shortcut is created during installation at %PROGRAMDATA%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup. Please check if the shortcut is present here and application launches from this shortcut.

    The application is now in both %PROGRAMDATA% and in %APPDATA%\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup - possibly put there in my attempts to fix the problem! It launches from both manually, but does not launch minimised.

If I click the - button, FXSound minimises to the task bar. However, clicking X closes FXsound. I can never therefore get to the point where I can reproduce #2
