Install fail

Hi Thanks for reading I am trying to install fx sound onto a windows 7 laptop, but the install does not complete, it stops with the error that there an issue with my playback device.
Fx sound does not appear in my sound options, there is only the realtek codec the laptop has always used.
A fxsound shortcut has appeared on desktop but it repeats the same error message as stated above.
Any advice ?

Sorry about this! What’s the error message? Can you send a screenshot?

This error can occur if the FxSound Audio Enhancer device is not properly installed.
Can you try uninstalling and reinstalling again?
If you still get the error, please look for any error or warning message displayed for “FxSound Audio Enhancer” device in device manager,

Thanks !
Everytime i try to install FX Sound i get the same error message as in the screenshot i included. I can’t get past that. I am running win 7 OS 64-bit
FXsound does appear in device manager, but with a yellow exclamation mark, meaning that something is wrong

For a similar issue on Windows 7, the error was due to the driver certificate not being recognized in the installation.

Can you please install the certificate from the driver file.
From the installation folder, select fxvad.sys file properties,

Click Details,

Click View Certificate,

Click Install Certificate

No change. Still gives the same error message.
The only thing is my properties is slightly different from yours

On yours it says digest algorithm, mine says email address not available
In your last snapshot it says certificate is valid to 01-09-2022, is this a problem
Thanks !

The driver has already been signed, so the certificate expiring is not an issue.
But for signature to be accepted, Windows 7 updates KB4474419 and KB4490628 should be installed. Can you try installing them from Microsoft Update Catalog.

Okay installed the updates but no change

Thanks !
