FXSound startup

Hi All,
I want to install FXSound on startup. MSCONFIG startup keeps on disabling it.
Can install manually OK.
Someone else sorted this issue with comment about “shortcuts” needed after updates.
Can someone help me on this?
Thanks.
Robert

Do this. Attach or list the output. Adjust the command as your skill dictates.

tasklist /v > “%userprofile%\Desktop\Running-Process-List.txt”

MSCONFIG does not change anything. User changes are possible here but it is reporting your configuration not managing it.

I have not read anything about your PC. Please provide output from:

You can enter a simple command into Command Prompt to export a text list of every process running on your computer. Here’s how to do it.

  1. Open the Command Prompt tool by typing “cmd” into Windows Search and pressing Return.

  2. You can now use the tasklist command to output the list to a new .txt file.

  3. For example, you could type: tasklist /v > “%userprofile%\Desktop\Running-Process-List.txt”.

  4. A new text document called Running-Process-List.txt will then appear on your desktop, containing a full list of running processes. The list will also contain details such as the Process ID, Memory Usage, etc.

You have published an email address. Please remove or redact the attachment. I have a copy.

I am not fully cognizant right now.

I see what looks like an incomplete removal of Asus AI Suite. Please advise.

And what is the karaoke process for? Both of these have low level access and could interfere with settings/intent.

WAIT A MINUTE!

“I want to install FXSound on startup. MSCONFIG startup keeps on disabling it.

That is not how you force an install. With new eyes, your report is:

“I cannot run the installer on startup through msconfig.” Please confirm.

Hi,
Don’t know anything about Asus A1 Suite. Asus is in the programs folder but it relates to “six-engines?” something to do with my Asus MOBO. Never knowingly used it.

Karaoke process? Don’t know anything about that either.
Can you set FXSound to start up when the PC sets up? Wasn’t there a box to tick?

The fault is likely mine. We are not communicating. What is your goal?

  1. I want to INSTALL FXSound on startup.
    or
  2. Set FXSound to start when the PC [starts]?

Each has a different response.

Both responses include:
Uninstall Asus AI Suite.
Uninstall VIA Karaoke digital mixer Service or its related or equivalent.

CCleaner is not your friend. It is not anybody’s friend. Anyone qualified to read the output does not require the tool to manage the underlying resources. 99.44% pure is ~1% bullshit. CCleaner, which has no audio control, cannot be ruled out as the cause of this affect. This is good science not a rant and it is over.

Hi Anthony, Thanks for the info on CCleaner ie remove it.
I’ve done that and now FXSound starts with bootup as I wanted it to along with Avast. It’s enabled in msconfig startup and stays that way.
I can access task manager/processes.
What entries are you seeing when you suggest - Uninstall Asus A1 Suite?
Will do - but I never knew I even had it!
Same goes for VIA Karaoke digital mixer Service.
Thanks for your advice.

Good work, glad it worked. I am not aware of any function or feature of CCleaner that explains the positive result that simple removal would provide. I am surprised that the single step was effective.

A system that works is a perfect system. Tinker tends to tarnish.

My suggestions are limited to read more books, build more things, break more rules.
