Cant find the option to disbale automatic switching new audio devices

Hello all together,

I run a triple setup for my SimRacing rig, and I am using the middle Display as default standard audio output device, means I have a 3.5mm audio jack plugged into the middle Display. I do it that way because I play GT7 on my PS5 sometimes too, and when I pug my speakers directly into the onboard sound card I will get no sound when I play PS5. My Prob is now, when I fire up my PC the sound comes from a different Display, sometimes the left Display and sometimes the right Display and sometimes the middle Display. But it would be cool, when the sound comes always from my middle Display and I dont have to switch them manually. I tried to set the middle Display at the top in FxSound settings but that didnt help, and I cant find an option to disable switching to new audio devices.

Hi j0k3r,

That option has been replaced by Preferred Output. This is a dropdown option. It lets you select your output you want to always use for your sound source.

Hope this helps.

I set the Display I want to have as standard but after a reboot my left/right Display is set to output audio device. I think I can solve my issue, when I start my Pc I have to power up my middle display at 1st and after that my left/right one.

Ok, just curious, but do you have S/PDIF in your sound options under the Sound settings?

no got no spdif settings, I think it has something to do that I have my speakers directly connected to my display and not the soundCard. Because when I rename my displays (sound outputs) to for example middle, right and left and I did a reboot, after the pc reboots the middle renamed display is now my left one.
