# Settings Auto-Switch Sound Output has been removed

Has replaced and improved upon the Auto-switch function with a new Preferred Output Device function, would be more accurate,

Yes, if you [remove the driver](https://forum.fxsound.com/t/echo-due-to-fx-and-the-original-playback-device-playing-at-the-same-time/2112/2) and reinstall [one of the previous versions](https://www.videohelp.com/software/FxSound-/old-versions). The changes made can be found on the [Changelog](https://www.fxsound.com/changelog) page (not yet updated for v1.1.26.0).
