I’m using the latest version of fx sound on my windows 11 computer, my current issue is that the selected output setting won’t stay selected and tend to switch to a output I don’t want to use. Is there anyway to prevent this from happening ?

Hi @DavyP, Did you try selecting and setting up the preferred output device from Settings?

I’m actually dealing with the same issue.

The thing is I connect my Pioneer receiver to my laptop and the output device in Windows is called EP-HDMI-RX. I set it as my preferred device but very often its name changes to EP-HDMI-RX2 and then FxSound gets confused and just switches to laptop speakers, making me switch it manually.

Would it be possible to add an option for 2nd prefered device?

This is not normal to happen, but if this is your current problem, a palliative solution would be to go to a control panel click on sound and disable the other audio outputs and just leave on the audio output you use, thus preventing FX from changing the audio exit source
