Considering the amount of time that has passed, it seems worth mentioning that from the latest release onwards, v1.1.26.0, the Auto-Switch Output Device function in the General tab of the Settings, was replaced by a new Preferred Output Device function, explained in full in the thread linked below.
You can check which version you have in the Help tab.
