# No stereo sound with FxSound? Here's the solution!

Hey there! So, I’ve been cranking up the jams with FxSound on the “Volume Boost” preset, but when I dive into my games where hearing footsteps is like, super important, I’ve been getting all turned around. Picture this: I hear a sound that’s supposed to come from the right, but surprise! It’s also coming from the left, like an echo.

But fear not, fellow gamer! If you’re in the same boat, the solution is so obvious, it’s practically waving a neon sign. Just switch to the “Gaming” preset on the software. Boom! Problem solved. Happy gaming!

I think it’s a personal preference, for me “classic processing” is overall better for everything.

I think it’s the “surround sound” option that is turning the sound mono and coincidentally gaming preset is the only one with it cranked to 0. I use volume boost with surround sound turned off…
