I had to reinstall Windows recently. I was previously running FxSound without any issues. Since reinstalling FxSound.

On my previous setup, all I had to do to get FxSound to work was select FxSound as the output speaker. If I do this now, there’s no sound. I have to I select my normal output speaker first. It then automatically selects FxSound as the output speaker and the program works. After working for 10-20 seconds, I lose all audio.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but the problem persists. What could be causing this?

Reinstalled it for what must have been the fourth of fifth time and it’s now working fine. I have no idea what caused it to not work during the previous installations.

Alright, glad you got it up and running.
If the problem returns, feel free to post again.
Here’s a list of simple general settings I usually recommend checking first, just in case:

However, I can copy-paste this list of general, simple settings you should probably check first, before we can move on to further troubleshooting (don’t worry, they won’t take up much of your time): Make sure you have the latest version installed, v1.1.16.0, from [fxsound.com](http://fxsound.com/); Try running FxSound as Administrator; In Windows Sound Settings, make sure all your devices match at the settin…
