# New version not install

I still can’t remove the new version of FXSound 1.1.17 from my PC. I do not know what to do

Yes, I know that 1.1.19 was recently released. I tried to install it, and it gives me the same problem as with 1.1.18.  
Maybe, it’s because I have Windows 7 Ultimate x64.  
Version 1.1.16 worked great for me, but when I updated to 1.1.17 (this version caused problems on my PC), I tried to go back to version 1.1.16, when I try to install it, it tells me that a newer version recent is installed on my PC.

Hi @DBG  
You can try using the Microsoft recommended utility “Program Install and Uninstall troubleshooter” to remove the previous installation which is causing the problem.  
You can download the utility from  
[Fix problems that block programs from being installed or removed - Microsoft Support](https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/fix-problems-that-block-programs-from-being-installed-or-removed-cca7d1b6-65a9-3d98-426b-e9f927e1eb4d)  
If it still does not fix the problem, you can try removing the registry key “HKEY\_LOCAL\_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\FxSound LLC” manually from regedit.
