Fxsound works. “but” I have a hearing problem so I have to boost the treble when I use headphones. That’s when it goes wrong. Fxsound can’t handle the input coming from e.g. windows media player. I have to turn the media player down almost completely to avoid overdriving in Fxsound. It would be good to have an option to control the input volume in Fxsound. ---

Probably not what you are looking for but I also have hearing loss but I don’t have your problem with Windows Media Player, mostly because I decided long ago that WMP sucks big time. I switched to VLC Media Player. Try it and see if you have the same problem. ---

The problem is exactly the same in VLT. I have to turn the volume down to max 70% otherwise the treble distorts.
