How can I make it so that FX Sound does NOT start when I start my computer and Windows 11 loads? Can this be even controlled since there is no “start application when windows start” toggle in the settings (which I would have assumed as its kind of a industry standard".

If I close FX sound and then restart windows, it FX Sound still starts up (albeit after like 1 minute after the windows has statedd up)

My FX sound is version 1.1.31.0 on Windows 11 Pro 24H2.

Try Task Manager - Startup apps

A superior tool for managing startup processes is published by Microsoft, [Sysinternals Autoruns.](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/autoruns)

Be careful. DO NOT TOUCH what you do not understand and ABSOLUTELY NO DRIVERS.

FxSound is a virtual device. “You do not attach a video card while the PC is running” is a weak but valid analogy of why there is no autostart toggle. There are terminate-and-stay-resident components that can only load at boot. Industry Standard is to ensure interoperability.
