# Cannot get FXSound to open in Windows 11

I recently purchased a new laptop with Windows 11, cannot get it to open, keep getting an error message: Oops! There’s a ann issue with your playback device settings… FXSound worked just fine on my upteen year old Windows 10 tower. Any help here would be greatly appreciated…

Can you please check if the FxSound Audio Enhancer device is enabled in device manager.

If it shows any error, please share the log file, %SystemRoot%\inf\setupapi.dev.log

Thx for your response. FXSound is not even listed in Device Manager including Sound, Video, and Game Controllers. Does not show up anywhere in Device Manager.
