# Auto preset switching

Would it be possible to implement a feature that changes a preset automatically when a song switches? I’ve had to strike a balance between all the genres I listen to, but I’d like to have separate ones that can switch between each other so I can get the full experience from every song.

Maybe even a custom script that could do it? I don’t know much about modding open source things lol.

Interesting idea! We’ve had some thoughts about automatic preset switching based on the playback device and/or the application being used. But we haven’t thought about doing it by song. I think developing the functionality to quickly assess the song’s genre would be too big of a project for us at the moment for something that would marginally improve the listening experience.
